Autumn Tree

Inspired by the painting *The Tree* by Philip Sutton, the students worked collaboratively to produce the following artwork measuring 2 × 1.8 m. Although Philip Sutton’s work is a painting, the students attempted to recreate a similar visual rhythm and texture through the collage technique. More specifically, both its small colored dots and the surface of the work itself were created mainly from small pieces of advertising leaflets.
In this way, the students followed the idea of reusing materials that many people consider to be waste, entering into dialogue both with the work of Philip Sutton and with contemporary ecological concerns.
