The Christmas Tree of Jackson Pollock

The stereotypical form of a Christmas tree was created using a stencil and the dripping technique. Borrowing this technique from Jackson Pollock becomes a means of painterly decoration and of producing a texture that allows the playful experimentation of the young creators. Chance and possibility are allowed to reveal a visual whole that pleases the eye, in a way similar to the decoration of the Christmas trees found in our homes.
The artwork measures 60 × 100 cm.
