The contemporary artist Laura Makabresku, who uses photography as her main medium, has produced several images that explore the union of two people in a melancholic atmosphere. In this particular work, which she describes as autobiographical, the faces are replaced by flowers, while the couple's hands are gently touching each other and are also immersed in a dish of water. The couple looks like a single organism that feeds from the same source and blooms together.

The young students, having understood the symbolic dimension of the depicted flowers, attempted to complete part of Laura Makabresku's image by painting their own flowers.
