In Greece, the entrance examinations for the Schools of Fine Arts in Athens, Thessaloniki, Florina, and Ioannina are conducted separately by each department and are not part of the general system of the Panhellenic Examinations.

Preparing students for the entrance examinations to the Schools of Fine Arts involves the important task of developing each student’s artistic sensitivity. Candidates are taught how to draw correctly by practicing on subjects similar to those found in the examinations. For example, these include the drawing of plaster casts, the study of a nude model, and compositions of objects.
