Monotypes
English text follows
Monotyping is a technique that lies between painting and engraving. It could be considered a type of printed painting. To create monotypes, the students applied acrylic paint to printed flower shapes as desired. The prints were placed in a plastic sheet to prevent the printed paper from soaking and to improve the quality of the print. An example of a monotype is shown, where flower shapes are represented.
