Freehand Drawing is a specially examined subject in the Panhellenic Examinations and concerns students who wish to study in departments such as Architecture, Interior Architecture, Graphic Design and Visual Communication, Photography, and Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art.

Freehand drawing is the representation of real three-dimensional objects in space based solely on observation. It is carried out by hand, follows the rules of perspective, and is executed using a pencil. The teaching of freehand drawing focuses on the analysis of the visual forms of objects, the axes that define their structure, the tonal gradation of the composition, and the arrangement of the subject within the drawing space, among other aspects.
