Painting with Soil
The Brazilian visual artist Solange Pessoa, through her monochromatic works, reveals forms from the plant, animal, and mineral kingdoms. Her aesthetic refers to that of prehistoric paintings and to the concept of genesis. The students attempted to paint forms from nature using soil and water as their drawing materials, in a way similar to how Solange Pessoa worked in the artworks below.
